Entering into a friendship with God becomes possible because of the
grace of God and the sacrifice of His only son.
Romans 5: 9-11 …Much
more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the
wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled
to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we
shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God
through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the
reconciliation.
John 15:15 I no
longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's
business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned
from my Father I have made known to you.
God desires a deep and intimate relationship; everything, as we know it,
heavens, Earth and the details of our lives were created for the purpose of a
deep relationship.
Exodus 34:14 Do
not worship any other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous
God.
Ephesians 4:6 one
God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
Acts 17:26 From
one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and
he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.
Constant conversation and communion with God helps to solidify a sound
friendship
