Acts 3: 14 – 16 …14
"But you disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to
be granted to you, 15 but put to death the Prince of life, the one whom
God raised from the dead, a fact to which we are witnesses. 16 "And
on the basis of faith in His name, it is the name of Jesus which has
strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the faith which comes through
Him has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all.…
Hebrews 12:2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and
perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning
its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
2 Corinthians 3:18
And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are
being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from
the Lord, who is the Spirit.
Is Jesus the Prince of Peace in your life or is He mere entertainment
as He was for the Roman soldiers? A hard question, I know but a real question
none the less. Do you praise and pray hard on Sunday and go your own way on
Monday?
As we make our way to our Easter I pray that you are mindful
of the fact that He was made bare that we might be covered. He went to the
cross naked and not ashamed and people watched until grace grew weary and mercy
threw a veil over the sun to shield our Lord in His vulnerability; blocking the
true glory from unconcerned hearts and minds.
The eyes and hearts of the coldhearted that are darkened to majesty
and the glory is why they cannot see past the physical death to the true
victory of Calvary.
Is Jesus the Prince of Peace in your life or is He mere entertainment
as He was for the Roman soldiers?
