Returning To God - January 23, 2015

2 Chronicles 6:29-31    whatever prayer or supplication is made by any man or by all Your people Israel, each knowing his own affliction and his own pain, and spreading his hands toward this house, then hear from heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and render to each according to all his ways, whose heart You know for You alone know the hearts of the sons of men, that they may fear You, to walk in Your ways as long as they live in the land which You have given to our fathers.

I believe T.D. Jakes said it best when he wrote - "We as Christians reach fulfillment when we come to the point where we bring to the Lord all that we have and worship Him on the other side of accomplishment. This need to return an answer to the Sender is as instinctive as answering a ringing telephone. There is a ringing in the heart of a believer that requires an answer. Why do we answer a phone? We do so because of our insatiable curiosity to know who is calling He is calling us.."

Creation is designed in such a way that anything that receives gives back to God.  Crops bloom after a rain. Bees take from the flowers and give honey...minerals give life to vegetables, vegetables give to animals...everything is cyclical, having a point of return...

What are you returning to God? Is it your first fruits?  Are you using up precious resources (living water) on something that will not bring life?
