1 Corinthians 14:12
So it is with you. Since you are eager for gifts of the Spirit, try to
excel in those that build up the church.
Romans 14:19 Let
us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual
edification.
1 Corinthians 14:3 But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort.
1 Corinthians 14:4 Anyone who speaks in a tongue edifies themselves, but the one who prophesies edifies the church.
1 Corinthians 14:5 I would like every one of you to speak in tongues, but I would rather have you prophesy. The one who prophesies is greater than the one who speaks in tongues, unless someone interprets, so that the church may be edified.

Many of us go through life without focus or determination
without ever taking time to examine how much more we could accomplish if we set
a plan in motion. The difference between a master and an apprentice is the
amount of time and the quality of effort. Although some people are considered
masters in mediocrity when they can’t see past themselves or their SOURCE.
In order to cultivate talents we must be committed to being
all that we are intended to be; we have to develop a vision past our sights and
scope of understanding. We must return to God what is His; His first fruits.
You can have multiple talents and use them in a line of
service but we must never confuse talents with purpose….a purpose is nothing
that you aspire to, you are CALLED to purpose (Romans 8:28). You purpose is
brought to life and nurtured by God.
