2 Timothy 3: 16-17
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for
reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of
God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
Deuteronomy 29:29 The
secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us
and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.
Romans 15:4 For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.
2 Peter 1:20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet's own interpretation of things.
We must realize that the “new man” is not an overnight
process. The “new man” starts out as a child and grows into the fullness and
the maturity of the Lord.
We must allow time and space for struggles and celebrate
victories. We must acknowledge that wars come before success. Stop comparing
your position to the positioning and victories of others. All things come about
in God’s timing and God’s process….self-help is NOT God’s help and we should
never confuse the two. Our interference often keeps us from the full revelation
of God’s plan, purpose and message to us.
Do it yourself righteousness often produces the results YOU want and
more often than not take you out of the will of God.
