Firm And Fixed In Righteousness October 30, 2019

Proverbs 10:30 New International Version (NIV)

30 The righteous will never be uprooted,
but the wicked will not remain in the land.

This promise is even truer for those of us who live on this side of Calvary and the empty tomb! As Paul said it, "our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body" (Philippians 3:20-21 NIV). The righteous will never be uprooted from their true homeland for no one and no power can steal it, corrupt it, destroy it, or take it away!

Thought for today: Is my faith strong enough to uphold me in the strong winds of life?

About me- that's a tough question to answer. I'm a writer first and foremost; I acknowledge and embrace my gift.

This page was created to share my faith and to motivate and encourage others to explore their spirituality and to start a lifelong faith walk. Far too many of us have embraced church messages of can't and condemnation because of short comings and character defects.

In the mid '90's I discovered a place that resuscitated my spirituality and encouraged me to acquire a deeper theological foundation. I was blessed to learn from Bishop Yvette Flunder and it is my fervent prayer that I continue to preach and teach what I learned about the gospel, liberation theology and radical inclusivity.

What I Believe:

Radical Inclusivity is the intentional inclusion of all persons; especially people who have traditionally lived at the margins of society, such as people suffering from substance abuse; people living with HIV/AIDS; same-gender loving people; the recently incarcerated; and sex industry workers.

At the core faith and vision is a mandate from God to proclaim a gospel that is radically inclusive of all persons. The Fellowship defines radically inclusivity as "the intentional inclusion of every person in the community of faith." Inclusivity challenges major fundamental, deep-seated Christian beliefs, doctrines and theologies of the center of society which characterize people on the edge as enemies of God and routinely mistreats, oppresses and excludes people from the community of faith and its institutions. It is my purpose and aim to provide a safe place of refuge for persons who have been wounded by oppressive theologies and to provide a place of nurturing and training for those who feel called to this shared ministry.
