Philippians 2:12 Therefore,
my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now
much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and
trembling,
God is challenging you to continue in your spiritual journey
of transformation. The Holy Spirit will continue His work daily in your life,
forming the image of Christ in the heart of your life. Paul told his friends in
Philippi that they must continue to work out their salvation. He knew how easy
it was to become discouraged, give up, or even become lazy in their spiritual
growth. Paul reminded them that God was working His purposes in them and that
it would require their diligence in obedience to press on in their spiritual
journey as they responded to God’s grace.
