Philippians 2:14-15 New International Version (NIV)
14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so
that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without
fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like
stars in the sky
We shouldn't be surprised that unbelievers around us have a
different set of values than we do. After all, a star isn't surprised to find
that it shines in the great expanse of darkness surrounding it. You see, a star
and a disciple of Jesus share one basic purpose: shining our light in the
darkness, no matter how great that darkness!
Thought for today:
Am I in the habit of finding and shining the light in the darkness?
