Psalm 46:1-3 God
is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be
removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled,
though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
Psalm 27:5 (NRSV) [The LORD] will hide me in his shelter in the
day of trouble.
Prayers and daily Bible reading comforted and encouraged us
to remain firm in our faith. Family, friends, and church members prayed for us
and with us and stood beside us in our worst moments of doubt and desperation.
God showed us that we were never alone in our struggles.
Thought for today: Do you seek God in times of difficulty?
