Radical, Reckless and Inclusive

Image may contain: possible text that says 'James 4:14... Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth. away.'

Thought for today:

Good morning kings and queens,

I've been reading and doing a workbook study from the book Crazy Love by Rev. Francis Chan; I can't tell you how transforming this book is. I consistently talk about love and urge that we engage in the practice of loving one another...but I know I fall short in discussing the definition, depth, spans and magnitude of what it means to love.

Today's workbook focus is on the things that distract form it...
This passage (James 4:13-17) is about how we believe we always have time....read it and sit with it for a moment.

In this passage James is warning us about "future tripping" and calls for us to practice mindfulness. The passage also calls for us to make note of the fact that "unless the Lord builds a house, those who build labor in vain (Psalm 127) meaning that God should always be in our planning; a thought that is also supported by "seek ye first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33).

If God is in you plans you can always refer and defer to Him when you get confused, when you get stressed, when you get discouraged or when you lose sight of the initial plan and purpose.

Kings and queens, if God be for you and with you NOTHING can come against you...and if you are with and in God you will have a love that is boldly and recklessly inclusive of all....don't let another moment go by without you tapping into the source of love. Love of God is the source of love for self and others ~ KB
