Daniel 2:27-28 New International Version (NIV)
27 Daniel replied, “No wise man, enchanter, magician or
diviner can explain to the king the mystery he has asked about, 28 but
there is a God in heaven who reveals mysteries. He has shown King
Nebuchadnezzar what will happen in days to come. Your dream and the
visions that passed through your mind as you were lying in bed are
these:
What is the bedrock of your faith in uncertain times? Who
knows where all the upheaval, tumult, and uncertainty are truly heading? In
whom can you find the solution to your most perplexing problems? For Daniel and
his friends, there was one solid and true answer: the Lord God of Israel. It
wasn't in the so-called wise teachers of the day. It wasn't in the religions of
the East. It wasn't in the super-spiritualists. It was in God alone.
