Colossians 3:16 (NIV)
16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you
richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through
psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in
your hearts.
We sing when we are happy. We sing when we are heartbroken.
Today we sing out of gratitude. God is not only worthy of all of our praise, he
is worthy of all of our thankfulness. But the basis of all our songs is Jesus,
and the proclamation of the good news that brings life to us through him. As
that message, that word of Christ fills our hearts, we are tuned to be thankful
children of the Most High.
