Ecclesiastes 3:1 There
is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
Philippians 1:6 being
confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to
completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Being a disciple is all about the process of conforming to Christ.
Becoming Christ-like is the ultimate goal. Discipleship is a process with no
shortcuts.
Ephesians 4:13 until
we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and
become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Colossians 3:10 and
have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of
its Creator.
We could be instantly transformed by God but He chooses to develop us
slowly….we must be patient in the process because it is all part of God’s plan.
Ephesians 4:21-23 …if
indeed you have heard Him and have been taught in Him, just as truth is in
Jesus, that, in reference to your former manner of life, you lay aside the old
self, which is being corrupted in accordance with the lusts of deceit, and that
you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,…
Colossians 3:8-10 But
now you also, put them all aside: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and abusive
speech from your mouth. Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside
the old self with its evil practices, and have put on the new self who is being
renewed to a true knowledge according to the image of the One who created him
