Before Christ March 29, 2019

John 3:28-29 New International Version (NIV)
28 You yourselves can testify that I said, ‘I am not the Messiah but am sent ahead of him.’ 29 The bride belongs to the bridegroom. The friend who attends the bridegroom waits and listens for him, and is full of joy when he hears the bridegroom’s voice. That joy is mine, and it is now complete.

John the Baptist is an incredible example of a servant. He lived his life for one central and controlling purpose — to prepare others to recognize, to welcome, and to follow Jesus Christ as Lord. Can you think of a greater purpose for your life? Let's live so that when our last days approach, we can also say, "That joy is mine, and it is now complete."

Thought for today:  Do I give thought to my purpose and how I demonstrate Christ in my life?
