What Is Your Source Of Strength May 31, 2018

Isaiah 40:30-31 (NIV)

30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
    and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the Lord
    will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
    they will run and not grow weary,
    they will walk and not be faint.

What is your strength? Is it your youth? ...your conditioning? ...your wisdom? ...your friends? ...your experience? None of us can depend upon our human ability. Health, wisdom, and wealth are all vulnerable to the fragility of life and circumstance. Only the LORD can ensure that we can survive the unthinkable, thrive in the mundane, and soar in good times. Let's call upon, let's wait upon, let's depend upon the LORD!

Thought for today: Do I/Can I wait on God to supply or do I interject myself into His plan?

About me- that's a tough question to answer. I'm a writer first and foremost; I acknowledge and embrace my gift.

This page was created to share my faith and to motivate and encourage others to explore their spirituality and to start a lifelong faith walk. Far too many of us have embraced church messages of can't and condemnation because of short comings and character defects.

In the mid '90's I discovered a place that resuscitated my spirituality and encouraged me to acquire a deeper theological foundation. I was blessed to learn from Bishop Yvette Flunder and it is my fervent prayer that I continue to preach and teach what I learned about the gospel, liberation theology and radical inclusivity.

What I Believe:

Radical Inclusivity is the intentional inclusion of all persons; especially people who have traditionally lived at the margins of society, such as people suffering from substance abuse; people living with HIV/AIDS; same-gender loving people; the recently incarcerated; and sex industry workers.

At the core faith and vision is a mandate from God to proclaim a gospel that is radically inclusive of all persons. The Fellowship defines radically inclusivity as "the intentional inclusion of every person in the community of faith." Inclusivity challenges major fundamental, deep-seated Christian beliefs, doctrines and theologies of the center of society which characterize people on the edge as enemies of God and routinely mistreats, oppresses and excludes people from the community of faith and its institutions. It is my purpose and aim to provide a safe place of refuge for persons who have been wounded by oppressive theologies and to provide a place of nurturing and training for those who feel called to this shared ministry.
