Restoration - March 16 , 2015
Psalm 3:3 But you,
LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
Ephesians 2: 5-7 …5
even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with
Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up with Him, and
seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in
the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness
toward us in Christ Jesus.…
1 John 5:4 For everyone who has been born of God
overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our
faith.
God is always with us. He lifts us up when we
are down. He is the answer to all of our problems… He is just waiting for each
of us to realize that. He repeatedly tells us in the Bible that He is with us
with healing and restoration. We have to believe Him and reach for Him to
help us overcome all of our problems.
Psalm 107:20. “He sent out his word and healed
them, and delivered them from their destruction.”
1 Peter 2:24, “He himself bore our sins in His body on the
tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By His wounds you
have been healed.”
Isaiah 61:1, “He has sent me to comfort the
brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and
prisoners will be freed.”
Dear Lord, You have repeatedly told us, Your children, that
You are with us. You heal… You comfort… You restore… You do all things.
We lift up all the wounded and broken to You and ask for a Mighty Move of Your
Spirit across the land with healing and restoration. Lord, turn hearts to You
all around the world and deliver us all from the evil that this world produces.
We thank You Lord that You are always with us and orchestrate our steps as we
trust You with our lives… in Jesus Name. Amen.

can say, "I have kept my heart pure; I am clean and without sin"?
1 John 2:4 Whoever
says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and
the truth is not in that person.
Did you ever stop to think about the body, it’s functioning
and purpose? The blood and the heart are the only things that touch and impact
the functioning of the entire body. The blood carries life sustaining “cargo”
for the rest of the body and the heart is the engine that drives the entire
freight system. If the blood and its cargo in bottle-necked or blocked for any
length of time the system could collapse. A form of asphyxia is created and it
could result in a very harmful internal deprivation. Every part of the body
needs to be supplied with this precious “cargo”.
The blood also acts as a sentry…detecting and developing
defenses for things that should not be present
The physical body is divinely designed to mimic the power of
the blood of Christ. Every part of the body regardless of position needs to be
sustained by the blood. Without the blood you have no seal of sanctification on
your birth certificate.
It’s not enough to say
“I believe” – without the blood, we cease to have proof of our kinship

Covenant (berith) – March 14 , 2015
A contract is an agreement between two parties. In the Old
Testament the Hebrew word berith is always thus translated. Berith is
derived from a root which means "to cut," and hence a covenant is a
"cutting," with reference to the cutting or dividing of animals into
two parts, and the contracting parties passing between them, in making a
covenant ( Genesis 15 ; Jeremiah 34:18 Jeremiah 34:19 ).
The corresponding word in the New Testament Greek is diatheke,
which is, however, rendered "testament" generally in the Authorized
Version. It ought to be rendered, just as the word berith of the Old
Testament, "covenant."
Deuteronomy 7:9 Know
therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his
covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his
commandments.
Matthew 26:28 This
is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness
of sins.
2 Samuel 23:5 "Truly
is not my house so with God? For He has made an everlasting covenant with me,
Ordered in all things, and secured; For all my salvation and all my desire,
Will He not indeed make it grow?
Do you promise? Have you ever been on the receiving end of
this question? Have you ever broken a promise or had someone break a promise to
you? I am sure at one point or another we have all had our fair share of
heartbreak when it comes to this word: promise. Thankfully, our
relationship with God is not based on a halfhearted promise.
Jesus didn't pinky swear that if we loved and trusted
Him, He would be in a relationship with us. No, instead He made much more than
a promise, He made a covenant.
A covenant is different from a promise. A promise can be one
sided and a promise is not dependent on another party doing anything.
God keeps His promises in spite of our halfhearted efforts …how
do you honor the covenants?

Matthew 7: 5-6 …5"
You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see
clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.6 "Do not give what is
holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before swine, or they will trample
them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces.
1 Timothy 2:3-5 …3 This is good and acceptable in the
sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to
the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator also
between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,…
I have heard both of these passages of scripture repeatedly
for most of my life. I've heard them used in and out of the proper context over
a period of time. I most recently had my own experience with the passage of
Matthew.
I have to say that I am not always mindful of scripture. I
periodically practice the fine art of rationalization and justification and I
go deep with it. But for the most part I am straight forward with my “insanity”;
majority of family and friends will tell you that if I say I’m going to do
something you can best believe it will get done! With that being said, I was
upfront about what I was doing and what I wanted to happen….it was my will and
not God’s but I have to say I didn't hide or veil it in any way. Now, please
don’t get me wrong , I am by no means glorifying myself or my actions…wrong is
wrong…but I was so off into my stuff that I didn't grasp the entire situation;
I didn't look at the big picture. The situation blew up in a very big way
because I was off on my cloud asking God to honor something that He could not
and in the meantime I’m “casting my pearls.”
God was already dealing with my head and heart in the
situation but I overrode the conviction and did “that thing” any way….and now I’m
like FEMA accessing the self-inflicted damage. I get it Lord…my hypocrisy and double
minded approach to what I know to be true will NOT be blessed. I cannot serve
me and serve you as well…..as my Catholic friends pray “ I am heartily sorry
for having offended thee” my most humble
and sincere apologies to the victims who got caught my shrapnel spray…
Lessons learned: I cannot operate on self-will no matter how
honest I am about my intentions and actions.
I cannot expect others to respect my faith walk and
experience if they do not share the same set of beliefs and constructs.

Psalm 31:19-20 19 How
great is Your goodness, Which You have stored up for those who fear You, Which
You have wrought for those who take refuge in You, Before the sons of men! 20 You
hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the conspiracies of man;
You keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues.…
Could you use some courage? Are you backing down more than
you are standing up? Jesus scattered the butterflies out of the stomachs of his
nervous disciples...
We need to remember that the disciples were common men given
a compelling task. before they were stained-glassed saints in the windows of
cathedrals, they were somebody's next-door neighbors trying to make a living
and raise a family. They weren't cut from theological cloth or raised on
supernatural milk. But they were an ounce more devoted than they were afraid
and, as a result, did some extraordinary things.
Earthly fears are no fears at all. Answer the big question
of eternity, and the little questions of life fall into perspective.
*Let your words of hope and the promise of a glorious future
in your kingdom give me hope and courage for today, Father, You are with me now
as you will be throughout all eternity.*
